Should Reddit have their upvotes/downvotes numbers be unseen until you press either upvote or downvote?

Seems like if one were to see negative numbers, this will influence them to press downvote as well ie. the herd mentality. It’s not very genuine and we should be able to think for ourselves without influence. Same with upvoting.
