Should I end friendship with my Best friend if he starts dating my ex ?

In my case my best friend and ex got together after around 2 months of our relationship. We were part of one group where he was also dating another girl at the time. They broke up earlier than us, and later he got close with my ex. They got so close that I was suspicious towards the end of my relationship. I did cut them off from my life because I couldn't live with it. The person who I trusted a lot, going behind my back, I could not accept it and still be friends.
