No, because no one will listen to a person who is diagnosed with schizophrenia while maintaining an open mind with a completely unbiased mindset. People with mental illness diagnosis classifications of SMI (Severely Mentally Disabled) do not have the same guarantees of equal protection and representation under the law, that people who don't live with the stigma associated with this diagnosis have. People would rather make assumptions about people classified with mental disabilities than to actually listen to them with an open mind, and an open heart. It is incredibly easy to ignore the rights of someone living with the stigma of mental disabilities because few people go to bat for people who don't have a voice of their own to advocate for thier own participation in thier recovery program. The mental health courts have too many legal loopholes and too many cracks in the system for people partitioned for involuntary evaluation for Court ordered treatment to have any protections under the law.
Violent offenders in criminal court proceedings have more protections than innocent victims who are wrongfully petitioned for institutional confinement who haven't been charged with a crime or accused of any kind of wrongdoing by law enforcement. Thier lives are ripped apart for thier own good.

It would be nice to have a say in determining what is in my best interest. Why am I the only one who doesn't get a say in my own life. Because I am guilty by association. Guilty of being impaired by disillusion and paranoia without the benefit of a doubt. All because someone unfamiliar with the realities of my diagnosis and the misinformation being spread by corporate special interest (prescription pharmaceuticals and an abundance of medical insurance fraud opportunities within a broken medical-mental health economic system) that discourage self empowerment if patients, while promoting mistrust and suspicious misconceptions of mental health patients who are diagnosed with schizophrenia and, or other impairments associated with symptoms of paranoid disillusionary thinking and sphycosis.
