health can help us make informed decisions about our dietary choices and lead to better overall health.

There are several different types of sugars available, including:

  1. Sucrose: Also known as table sugar, sucrose is a disaccharide made up of glucose and fructose. It is commonly found in processed foods, soft drinks, and baked goods.
  2. Fructose: Fructose is a monosaccharide found naturally in fruits, honey, and some vegetables. It is also commonly used as a sweetener in processed foods and beverages.

  4. Lactose: Lactose is a disaccharide found in milk and dairy products. It is composed of glucose and galactose.
  5. Maltose: Maltose is a disaccharide made up of two glucose molecules. It is commonly found in beer and malted beverages.
Consuming too much sugar, regardless of the type, can lead to a range of health problems, including weight gain, tooth decay, and an increased risk of chronic diseases such as diabetes and heart disease. It is important to limit our intake of added sugars and focus on consuming natural sources of sugar, such as fruits and vegetables, in moderation.
