(Americans) Would you still encourage someone to vote if they were going to vote for the opposing side?

We hear a lot about “get out and vote” on Election Day here in the US but, at the same time I’ve heard the same people who advocate for voting participation rescind those beliefs when it comes to the other side. Would you still support someone’s right to vote if they were going to vote against your party?
